Chios is considered one of the most spectacular islands regarding their endless crystal beaches , the outstanding mountains and their local culinary products such as the mystique. Chios is considered the fifth biggest island in Greece.Also, this island has been marked for its maritime history as it is considered the island of the sea captains. One noteworthy aspect is that the cultivation of the mastique is taking place only in specific places on the southern side of the island. Near the central town of Chios there are remarkable sights which have been save from the period of Turkish rule
